Times have certainly changed, but fortunately a private pool villa concept in the center of Yogyakarta remained an attractive option for many travelers. When in 2009 we decided to follow our dream we were undecided whether a hotel or a small cozy Bali-like villa complex was a better choice. Very fortunate we choose for the latter. Ever since we started Villa Pondok Terra in Yogyakarta center we have seen a drastic change from 90% foreign guests to currently 98% local guests. I think that despite COVID-19, our 100% private villa concept has remained attractive for may travelers. Our guests can either fully seclude themselves in a spacious private pool villa with private pool and tropical garden, or chose to explore the vibrant city center with Malioboro, the Sultan Palace etc. just on walking distance, or any ideal combination.
